BBI Gets New Lease of Life After Latest Move by Attorney General

It's been over one week since BBI was nullified by the High court which termed the whole exercise as unconditional, Null and void.

According to latest news, the Attorney general has finally filed an appeal challenging the decision , arguing the judges made an error when they declared President Uhuru Kenyatta can be sued for violating the constitution.

"Attorney General files appeal challenging High Court's nullification of the BBI process; argues judges erred by declaring president can be sued in person."

The AG had initially filed a notice of motion at the High court seeking stay orders on the earlier ruling, but withdrew his notice of motion for appeal under unclear reasons.

Raila Odinga has also put together a team of legal heavyweights led by Siaya senator James Orengo and Rarieda Mp Otiende Amolo to challenge the high court ruling at the Court of appeal according to multiple media reports.
