Twist As A Zimbabwean Leader Orders The Exhumation And Reburial Of Robert Mugabe Remains

Zimbabwean traditional leader shocked people today after he ordered the exhumation and reburial of Robert Mugabe's remains at the national shrine.

The traditional leader by the name Chief Zvimba accused former first lady Grace Mugabe of breaking local customs. He accused her of interring Zimbabwe's long serving ruler at his homestead about 100 kilometres from Harare.

Mugabe ruled for 37 years and died in September, 2019 at the age of 95 years. This is after he was ousted in a military coup. He was buried at his village in Kutama as his family opposed the Current president Emerson Mnangagwa's to bury his remains at the Heroes Acre in Harare.

The Chief who was hearing the case fined Ms Mugabe, five cows and a goat for not being present. He also agreed that Mugabe should be buried at the Heroes Acre in Harare. But, Mugabe's family came in defense and rejected the ruling saying that the complainant was not part of their clan and that they granted their fathers wish.
