For the last few days, Kenyans on the internet have been complaining about the new Competency-Based Curriculum with many parents finding it inappropriate for their children.
This has forced Law Society of Kenya President, Mr. Nelson Havi, to file a petition against the New curriculum. In a petition filed at milimani law court, Miss Elizabeth Angawa through her Lawyer Nelson Havi filed a petition to stop the implementation and of the CBC until her case against it Is Heard and determined by the Court.
In response, The Cabinet Secretary for Education George Magoha and his colleague in the Interior Security Fred Matiangi are reported to have hired a team of competent and reputable lawyers to take Havi and his team head-on in yet another Legal bout between Havi and the Government.
According to a report by a local publication, Matiangi sought the services of Fred Ngatia while Magoha has settled on Philip Murgor to represent him. Attorney-General Kihara Kariuki will be represented by Immanuel Bita while KNUT will be represented by John Mbaluto.
It will be interesting to see Ngatia and Murgor in the same team with the case coming only a few months after the two showed a spirited fight in their respective interviews for the chief justice and Supreme Court Judge.
Meanwhile, share with us your thoughts on the matter kindly.
