A 64-year-old grandmother face charges for allegedly defiling her class seven grandson in Nyagancha area, Kisii County.
This is according to the citizen digital twitter post;
"A 64-year-old woman on Tuesday pleaded guilty to defiling her 12-year-old grandson in Nyagancha village, Kisii County." The statement read in part.
The suspect, Elizabeth Barongo Nyaanga, reportedly abused the juvenile on March 5, 2022 only to be arrested by police on Monday following a tip-off from her neighbours.
She was later presented infront of Keroka Law Courts principal magistrate C.Ombija where 3 people who witnessed the incident, narrated the ordeal before the court.
However, the suspect confessed to committing the heinous infront of the principal magistrate.
She was later freed on Sh10000 bond and a surety of Shs5000 cash bail.
The case was schedule for mention on March 23, 2022.
This comes barely two weeks when two couple were also arraigned inside the same court for allegedly beating their 8-year-old child to death.
The two reportedly locked the minor inside the kitchen before killing her.
