PETITIONERS FOR ALLEGED FRAUD BY THE FIRST CHOICE RECRUITMENT AND CONSULTANCY AGENCY APPEAR BEFORE SENATE
The Senate Standing Committee on Labour and Social Welfare, chaired by West Pokot Senator Julius Murgor, today met with the Petitioners on Petition concerning alleged fraud by the First Choice Recruitment and Consultancy Agency.
The Petitioners, led by Mr. Kimutai Kirui who is a Human Rights Activist from the Center Against Torture and
a resident of Uasin Gishu County, said they had earlier petitioned County Assembly of Uasin Gishu where they tasked the committee to;
1. Establish whether First Choice Recruitment and Consultancy Agency is duly registered
2. Find how much was paid to the Agency by each applicant and the reason for the payments
3. The documents of the applicants that the Agency has in their possesion
4. The nature of jobs that were available in Qatar.
The Committee resolved on planning a visit to Uasin Gishu County to have an engagement with the rest of the victims of the alleged fraud.
