The infamous BBI Reggae was unceremoniously stopped by the Court of appeal Judges who upheld the High Court ruling that the entire process was null and void.
The court of appeal ruled that the BBI steering committee was unconstitutional and that nothing legitimate can come out of it. The Court also declared it illegal for a seating President to initiate a constitution-making process under the current constitution.
The BBI Proponents are now set to try their luck at the Supreme Court where Attorney General Kihara Kariuki And Solicitor General Kennedy Ogutu have filed an appeal Which will be mentioned on October 4th.
The case will be determined by a full Supreme Court bench which is made up of the most renowned judges in the country. The seven are Smokin Wanjala, Njoki Ndungu, Philomena Mwilu, Martha Koome, William Ouko, Mohamed Ibrahim, and Isaac Lenaola.
