President Uhuru Kenyatta has appointed Court of Appeals Judge Martha Koome to be the first woman as the head of Judiciary and Chief Justice of Kenya. Chief Justice Martha Koome is replacing the former chief Justice honorable David Maraga.
Chief Justice Martha Koome has enough experience to rule the entire Judiciary service commission. She has exercised her law for more than 33 years. During Interview, Martha Koome emerged as the winner after defeating the other nine contestants.
Martha Karua has joined other Kenyans in celebrating the victory of Justice Martha Koome. She has expressed her happiness when she said "happy for her and Kenyans"
Chief Justice Martha Koome has a lot to put in place in the Judiciary Service. The headache to her is to reunite all arms of government and dressing the backlog of cases on most courts. She should heal the wound for most Kenyans after their cases take time to get justice.
