Emotions were high at the Moi Teaching and Referral Hospital morgue in Eldoret as family of slain LGBTQ rights activist Edwin Kiprotich Kiptoo alias Chiloba's remain were picked.
The body was picked by the family members early Tuesday morning ahead of his burial at their rural home in Elgeyo Marakwet county.

The family has not yet however given details of the burial ceremony and who would be involved.
Chiloba was found murdered and his body stashed in a metal box which was dumped at Hurlingham village near Kipkaren on the outskirts of Eldoret Town.
Chief government pathologist Dr Johansen Oduor released the results of the post mortem conducted on the late Edwin Chiloba.
According to the autopsy, Chiloba, whose real name is Edwin Kiprotich Kiptoo, died of Asphyxia which is a condition in which there is a lack of oxygen supply and an excess of carbon dioxide in the body.
