What Luo Elders Said in Message to Raila After the Recent Anti-Government Protests

Azimio team, led by Raila Odinga, held demonstrations in Kenya recently, which resulted in the destruction of several properties and vehicles being set on fire. In response, some elders from the Luo community have sent a message to Raila Odinga, expressing their concern about the intensity of the protests.

Nyandiko Ongadi, who chairs the council, urged Raila Odinga and his team to stay away from the demonstrations as they could bring more difficulty to the country. The elders also acknowledged that convincing people that President William Ruto did not win the general elections would be a challenging task.

Ongadi's statement reflects their perspective, stating that it is challenging to convince people that Ruto did not win the presidential elections, particularly when the Supreme Court gave a verdict. As a result, there is no need to protest against it.

The statement from the Luo elders highlights the need for peaceful demonstrations and encourages leaders to focus on promoting unity rather than stirring up further division in the country. The situation in Kenya remains tense, and it is essential for all parties involved to find a peaceful solution to avoid further damage to the country's social fabric.
