Angry residents from Mukuru slums are seeking justice for one of the resident. Whose her land was taken illegally. A video posted by a writer. The son of the woman claims that. His mother's land was illegally grabbed. This led to the mother getting stressed and she passed away.
"Mama anakufa juu ya ujinga damu yake itarudi. Itarudi hapa nimelia juu amesaidia wengi. Hawajaona ukweli mama amesaidia hii shamba yote amenyanganywa bure. Mpaka wanampea stress ndio akufe. Damu ya mama yangu iko kwa hii shamba." says the son of the deceased.
Another resident added that. The deceased gave a of part her land to some government officials to do some project. But the woman was finally chased away from her land without any compensation. The Mukuru residents are seeking justice for her family.
" Mamake amenyanganywa hii shamba. Imefika mahali tukaona mradi wa MNS umefika pale. Baadaye tukimgoja tuone kama mama atafanyiwa compensation kwa sababu amepeana nafasi kidogo ya kujenga hospitali. Muda mchache tukaona mheshimiwa Julius Mawathe ameleta tractors ameanza kuchimba na anafukuza mama. Na hajaambia mwenye hiyo shamba ni wapi anapeleka ama nini atamfanyia. Hayo ndio mlalamishi yetu na shida ambayo tuko na nayo", Says one of the residents.
