High Court Judge Justice Goerge Odunga, who is among the six Judges who were left out by President Uhuru Kenyatta during his recent appointment of judges, who were vetted and approved by the Judicial Service Commission (JSC) has been lauded by Kenyans, after delivering a bold ruling on the minimum taxes imposed by the government on various commodities.
According to NTV, Justice Odunga has opposed the imposition of the minimum tax on household commodities saying that they are unconstitutional and should not be implemented by the government, since they are making the cost of living to go high turning lives of Kenyans to be more hard as opposed by in the Constitution.
This ruling has earned Justice Odunga more praises from Kenyans, who have lauded him as the real judge who cares about their interests. They have urged him to continue telling the government the truth that the common citizens are suffering.
