Details of a Directive Issued by CJ Martha Koome to the Judiciary Police Unit on Thursday

The Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya Martha Koome has directed the Judiciary police officers to evacuate judicial officers who were injured in Garsen to Nairobi with immediate effect.

According to her, the Judicial officers who were injured on Wednesday at Lango la Simba in Lamu county should be taken to Nairobi for specialised treatment in Nairobi.

"I have instructed the Judiciary Police Unit to ensure that the officers are immediately evacuated to Nairobi for specialised treatment."Chief Justice Martha Koome directed.

She has also given names of all the officers who were injured in the attack that is suspected to be a terrorist attack on the judiciary officers who were leaving Garsen Law Courts.

According to a police report, the militants attacked the vehicle they were in which was headed to Garsen town from Kipini Mobile Court, at around 5.50pm.

The report stated that those in the vehicle included the driver, Garsen Law Courts Senior Principal Magistrate Paul Rotich, court prosecutor, court assistant, clerk and two police officers.
