This is after the Judge stopped Nelson Havi's trial to recruit another Council secretary to replace the current Chief Executive Officer Madam Mercy Wambua.
Justice Maureen Onyango has issued an order preserving the position of Mercy Wamua as the society's chief executive officer pending hearing of a case filed in court.
Wambua filed the application saying LSK president Nelson Havi invited applicants for interviews to fill in the position of CEO of the Law Society of Kenya and secretary to the council of the society on July 23.
Nelson Havi was acting contrary to another court order that had already barred him from advertising the position until the case before the court could be heard and be determined.
He has since been sued in a different court case with Contempt of last year's court order and incase he is found guilty, he will be risking being jailed.
Mercy Wambua has insisted that her term expires in February 2022 and that she will not be leaving the office until her time expires or she is removed from position in a manner that is prescribed by the law.
This ruling comes just days after Nelson Havi was restricted from advertising another position within the law society of Kenya by the court.
