Martha Koome is the Chief Justice of the Republic of Kenya and the first Female Chief Justice in history of Kenya. She was appointed by president Uhuru Kenyatta after the former Chief Justice David Maraga finished his term of service in offfice. She is known to be a very good specialist in her work and since her oath of office the Judiciary had improved a lot on various parts.
Yesterday she visited Alliance Girls High School where she was invited as the Guest speaker for a mentoring session. She gave the Students a motivational and an encouraging speech about how to move on with life though the challenges each of them will have to face. The girls were seen enjoying time with her and reacted so socially with each other.CJ Koome suprised them when she accepted a challenge to play chess game with one of the students.
Many students cheered her while she was playing and suprisingly she managed to win two rounds of the game. After the game she went ahead and joked saying,"I also played the game some years back when, I was at your age and it's enjoyable."
