The two judges were accused of recieving bribes from different clients which is against the rules of our Kenyan courts. However, this might not be the reason because DPP dismissed the claims that he is the one who issued an order for their arrest.
According to him, he didn't recieve any information about the two judges hence knew nothing about their arrest.
Today morning, city lawyer Cliff Ombeta has issued a direct attack to the DCI claiming that they should follow the right procure when arresting such people. He reiterated that Judicial Service Commission must be informed before such orders are implemented because they are the employer in this case.
He went ahead to say that it is wrong to arrest a judge without telling him what mistake he has done, when he did it and who is bribed him.
