Supreme Court Defends Venezuelan National Jose Camargo After Raila Odinga Lawyers' Attack

The Supreme Court has defended Venezuelan National Jose Carmago in their Judgement released today on Raila Odinga and the Azimio One Kenya Alliance Presidential Petition as Chief justice Martha Koome had earlier promised as new details emerge.

According to the Supreme Court, they have informed that, despite the Azimio One Kenya Alliance lawyer Julie Soweto producing evidence in the court claiming that Venezuelan National Jose Carmargo was used to alter the votes and to determine who becomes the President of Kenya.

In their Judgement, the Supreme Court has defended Mr. Jose Carmago informing that, the evidence raised against him was just allegations with CJ Martha Koome and the 7 judges bench maintaining that the evidence produced against Jose Carmago turned out to be no more than hot air and we were taken on a wild goose chase that yielded nothing of probative value.

“The Form 34A for Gacharaigu Primary School which was sensationally presented by Julie Soweto, Advocate, to show that one, Jose Camargo, accessed the RTS and interfered with the result contained therein turned out to be no more than hot air and we were taken on a wild goose chase that yielded nothing of probative value,” reads the judgment.

Raila Odinga had earlier protested the statement made by the Supreme Court on the day they upheld William Ruto's victory saying that,

"You have noticed the corruption, incompetence, and capture of the IEBC. You have noticed the corruption and thuggery of the Supreme Court judges. The words used against us have never been used in our courts even in the dark days of single-party rule,” Mr. Odinga said.
