Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) commissioner Irene Masit, has been dealt with a huge blow after the Justice and Legal Affairs Committee (JLAC), informed that with his absenteeism, the case might now be complete.
In a statement via People Daily, Masit, who failed to present herself so as to answer against her charges, might have a stern action taken against her after failing to appear before the committee.
The committee said that they will go on with the proceedings with or without her and that they will write their final report without the input of the commissioners who fail to file written submission on the matter.
"Being satisfied that Masit has opted not to proceed to give evidence orally, this hearing is considered complete. The committee will proceed with the matter and if there will be a written submission, we will consider, if not, we will proceed and write a report she did not appear," read a statement.
