Government of United States of America enjoined itself in the murder of LGBTQ activist Edwin Chiloba calling Kenyan authorities to undertake thorough investigations and bring to board the murderer. As he was talking, State Department spokesperson Ned Price affirmed that US government is willing to help Kenya in the investigations. US further stressed on transparency in the investigations in a bid to dispense justice to the victim's family.
In addition, the US spokesperson sent condolences to Chiloba's family and LGBTQ community at large for the loss intimating that Chiloba was a person of influence who advocated for equal rights.
While reacting, Kenyans expressed their disappointments in US government as they could not figure out why the country is so much interested in the case yet a number of Kenyans had died the same way and the country didn't utter a word. A section also intimated that perhaps because he was a member of LGBTQ community, hence unfair. Check out some of the Kenyans reactions below.
