Popular Lawyer Ahmednasir Abdullahi has sent President Uhuru Kenyatta a message over the remarks made by former Chief Justice Willy Mutunga. Through his Twitter account Ahmednadir has claimed that Wily Mutunga has undressed the President which is treasonable.
Quoting a statement from Mutunga, Ahmednadir Allegedly claimed that the president has been Undressed and Mutunga should be Detained immediately without trial.
In his statement, Willy Mutunga had called on President Uhuru Kenyatta to swear in the remaining six Judges which were left out in the appointment process , if he has the respect for the Kenyan Constitution which he swore to protect.
Mutunga went ahead to say that, the President clearly knows that there is no any provisions in the constitution that requires him to appoint those Judges be likes and leave the rest. Ahmednadir termed this as undressing the president.
"UNDRESSING the President of the Republic and Commander in Chief of the Armed Force in PUBLIC is TREASON. I respectfully petition H.E UHURU to immediately detain without trial CJ @WMutunga" Ahmednadir Wrote.
President Uhuru Kenyatta appointed 34 Judges out of 40 whose names were submitted by the Judicial Service Commission. The 34 were later sworn in at Statehouse. Calls have been made to the president to appoint the remaining six Judges.
