There is a legal process which is going on in South Africa looking forward to legislate and allow women who are willing to have more than one husband to do so. This has brought a big debate in that country as women are in their pursuit to ensure equality with their men counterparts.
In most democracies, men are allowed to be polygamous and can have more than one family. The Muslim religion for that matter allows men to marry up to seven wives. The debate about women marrying more than one wife has not been greatly debated and it has started from South Africa.
This debate is likely to spread across the world and may at one point even reach Kenyans. Whether is is in order for women to ave more than one family is a matter of wait and see how things will unveil from the South Africa. The perception about women is changing where a good number of them are considering leadership positions something which was not the case initially.
