George Kinoti is the current boss of the Directorate of Criminal Investigations in Kenya. The Directorate of Criminal Investigations, is a semi-autonomous directorate of the National Police Service responsible for investigating complex cases. It is headed by a Director who reports to the Inspector General of Police. Due to the sensitivity of the position, the Director of the DC is appointed by the President of Kenya. The DCI headquarters are located on Kiambu Road, Nairobi.
DCI Boss George Kinoti was sentenced to four months in prison, a sentence that he is supposed to have already started. The government through the Attorney General's office has been pushing for the court to drop the sentence to no avail. But lawyer Ndegwa Njiru has delivered a good news to DCI Boss George Kinoti. He said that all is not lost and has asked the Attorney General to appeal the case in the Court Of Appeal.
"If I were the Attorney General I'd appeal DCI boss Kinoti's case in the Court of Appeal. All is not lost for him."- Lawyer Ndegwa Njiru." Tweeted by TV47 Kenya
