On November 30 the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions (ODPP) submitted a request to have Aisha Jumwa murder case against her dropped.
Aisha Jumwa attorneys were granted their request to have the allegations against her withdrawn by the prosecution.

Aisha Jumwa a former Malindi MP is likely to be called as a witness for the prosecution in a murder case that has been pending before the Mombasa High Court for two years.
This is in response to Ms. Jumwa request that Noordin Haji director of public prosecutions consider examining the case with a view to turning her into a state witness.
The Public Service candidate informed Justice Ann Onginjo through her attorney Jared Magolo that it is evident from the testimony of three witnesses that the suspect should serve the sentence.
