Speaking today when he met the assistant county Commissioners Interior CS Fred Matiangi has made it clear that Huduma Number would continue. According to him, they will continue to register persons despite the court order that stopped the entire process.
This is completely against the law given the High Court of Kenya has already termed the rollout of Huduma Number unconstitutional null and void. Kenya is a country governed by the law hence the actions of CS Matiangi amounts to going against the law.
Matiangi who was meeting the assistant county Commissioners made it clear that he would champion matters digitization of records from every Kenyan across the world. Matiangi has made it clear that they will not obey the law though they will be going to the court of appeal.
Matiangi is of the view that digitization of records must continue as such is what will bring sanity and faster service delivery by government. However it's clear such is against the law given the ruling by the High Court of Kenya who pronounced themselves on matters Huduma Number rolled out and registration.
