Mr Fred Ngatia was among the shortlisted candidates who showed interest in becoming the next chief justice of the Rebuplic of kenya and he was vetted on Tuesday 20th.
His career in law is as follows;
1979,attained Undergraduate degree in law, university of Nairobi.
1980,He got admitted to the roll of advocates and also appointed as a state counsel at the attorney general's office.
1984,got master of law degree at the London School of Economics.
1987,He resigned as a state counsel so as to enter private practice.
1996, Became founder of a private owned firm namely Ngatia and Associates.
2019,Got masters in Applied Philosophy and Ethics, Strathmore University.
2020,Got awarded title of senior counsel.
Mr Fred Ngatia has been involved in several groundbreaking cases at the supreme court, particularly in 2013 and 2017 when he was lead counsel of president Uhuru Kenyatta in the presidential election petition.
And now in 2021,he is competing for the chief justice seat that was left vacant by retired CJ David Maraga.
