There have been lots of complaints about the dispensation of Justice by the judiciary with many labeling the courts as the biggest stumbling block to justice in the country. Perpetrators of beastly actions have continued to walk free after they were released by the same court that was supposed to sentence them.
The fight against abusers has been slowed by the court's inability to deliver justice in time. However, a Nairobi court has earlier today made a landmark ruling after the Kibera court sentenced Jessey Wafula to life imprisonment for deffiling a 9-year-old girl after luring her to follow him before dragging her into a bush.
According to a report by the ODPP, Wafula found the girl playing with her friend before both were seen walking away. Wafula then took advantage of her inside a bush. Fortunately, a good Samaritan saw everything.
The prosecution relied on the evidence provided by eyewitnesses and the doctor to prove the case before SPM Hon. Esther Boke.
