On the evening of September 26, Gicheru was discovered unconscious in his bedroom. When medical personnel arrived to try and revive him, they declared him dead.
Gicheru was waiting for the International Criminal Court's decision on whether he was guilty of buying witnesses who were to testify in President Ruto's discredited trial when he passed away.
After learning of his passing from a neighbor, doctors from the Karen Hospital visited his home on Monday at 7 p.m. They discovered the attorney unconscious on a sofa upstairs.
After giving him first assistance, they rushed him off the floor.
At the age of 52, he passed away. Just a few hours ago, the late Paul Gicheru, who died some weeks ago, was buried. His final ceremony will end today as his body arrives at Kwa Nguku Village in Nakuru County. Paul Gicheru was a popular lawyer who passed away and left Kenyans with more fear than he found at his home in Karen.
The entire family of Paul Gicheru sends our final condolences to you as the burial and ceremony for Gicheru continue. Rip Paul Gicheru
