Locals in India are still in shock after eleven men were set free by the government of India despite the crime they committed, the eleven had been sentenced to life imprisonment after they attacked a married woman who was 5 months pregnant, undressed her before forcefully sleeping with her in turns without protection then fled the scene leaving the woman in a critical health condition.
Men and women in India were forced to demonstrate in the streets after the eleven were given back their freedom despite killing the woman and her unborn child after the heinous act. The victim's family have cried foul of the decision asking the government to detain them as earlier agreed in court.
Bilkis Bano who is currently no more was almost delivering her unborn child when the nasty ordeal befell her in the year 2002. However, when the country was celebrating freedom day on Monday 15th August 2022, the men were set free raising eyebrows among the locals who have since lost trust in their government decisions.
