A Ugandan man is desperately searching for his alleged Kenyan relatives and his father who he claimed is a resident in Kenya. The man who hails from the Eastern side of the vast and lash Tororo District in the rich food basket of Uganda believes that his paternal father whom he has never had the opportunity to meet will be found through his social media public appeal.
According to a Facebook post by James Mungai, he raised the appeal by Robert Kwanzelu in searching for his biological father in the hope that somebody, somewhere who knows could assist and lead him in the warm reunion with his step family. Though the details about Robert are sketchy, his uncanny resemblance to a former Kenyan president has raised the profile of his search with his native neighbors jokingly calling him by the name Kibaki.
Coincidentally former president Mwai Kibaki was a student in the prestigious Makerere University which is among the oldest and first East African University to offer higher learning education. Social media has been used to successfully appeal, search and find family members on several occasions due to it's easy reach and wider usage by Kenyans. Lets hope that Robert Kwanzelu will one day meet his long lost family members.
