Demonstration At IEBC Offices Over Interdiction Of CEO Ruth Kulundu

The independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission dismissed its deputy CEO Ruth Kulundu. It is claimed that she had gross misconduct and abuse of office during the election process. Now leaders associated with Azimio la Umoja have hit the streets in a peaceful demonstration to protest her interdiction. The former prime minister who is a member of the coalition is however not present in the demonstration as he is convening ODM legislators meeting to avert the looming inhouse differences over national assembly leadership.

Previously, Odinga's affiliated parties have always thronged demonstration on streets demanding their democratic right whenever they feel pushed by government or government institutions. Hence todays demonstration is not new but somehow diffewrent one as it does not involve throwing of stones or undermine peace in the city in any way. It is good improvement democratically and a nice way of disagreeing with some of decisions made by government parastatals.
