“If Sidik Won't Get Justice, Let God Take My Life,” Former Embakasi MP Vows After Brother's Killing

Sidik Sumra, a renowned businessman, was hacked to death by an irate mob alongside his son and farmhand on Wednesday, July 7. The three were suspected to be kidnappers in Junju area, Kilifi County.

While speaking to Nation Africa, Sidik's brother and former Embakasi South MP Irshadali Mohamed Sumra has asked detectives to do thorough investigations into the matter and bring culprits to justice. He also vowed that if his brother doesn't get justice then God should take his life.

“We are saddened by the death of Sidik. He has left wife and kids behind who need his warmth, protection and love. My brother is a renowned businessman and was even feted by the President... If he won't get justice, then let God take my life,” a visibly angry Sumra said as quoted from a video shared by Nation.

Coast Regional Commander John Elangata confirmed earlier on that investigations are underway and the perpetrators will be nabbed by the long hand of the government.
