Kenyans Reacts After A Man Asked Court To Allow Him Repent After Stealing From A Church

Appearing before Eldoret Chief Magistrate Dennis Mikoyan on June 5th, a Man identified as John Kiiru pleaded guilty of stealing from church equipments from an Eldoret Church.

John Kiiru, 18, was accused of breaking into a church identified as Kenya Assemblies of God (KAG) Church and made aways with a power mixer, speakers among other church musical instruments.

Before stealing, Kiiru was a casual laborer at the church which is situated in Bodeni area within Kamukunji Estate in Edorrt Town.

Appearing before the Eldoret Court, Kiiru pleaded with the Magistrate to allow him meet with the pastor and other church leaders to seeks for forgiveness and also get saved before being sentenced. Kiiru added that after being converted to "a born again Christian " he wishes to use his jail term to preach to other inmates in the prison.Source.

The church Pastor who is the prosecution key witness said that he hold nothing against the man and he has already forgiven him on behalf of the church. He also asked to meet the man and prayer for him and lead him into salvation and he wishes.

However, the case will be mentioned in June 27 for probation reports.
