Various Appellants including the AG Kivutha Kibwana has been un hit in the Supreme Court of Kenya. The group of President Uhuru Kenyatta, ODM Leader Raila Odinga, Electoral Commission have made all their submissions to rhe Court. The hearing that started on Tuesday has hit is final hearing day. The Building Bridges Initiative BBI has a petition had been rejected by both Court of Appeal and The High Court of Kenya but the Appellants were not satisfied.CJ Martha Koome has given the judges a period to retreat and come up with their final verdict. CJ Koome stated that the judgment day will be given via a notification. “Our constitution is amendable by applying the basic structure doctrine and going back to the process we followed in making the current constitution” said SC George Oraro. Also among them Paul Nyamondi gave a short reference saying refered to the sixth schedule of the constitution where the people of Kenya one day promulgated this constitution and created a procedure for the vetting and removal of judges who enjoyed the security of Kenya.
