On Tuesday, December 6 President William Ruto named twenty new High Court justices.
The President gave his approval to each name that the Judicial Service Commission forwarded to him in a special Kenya Gazette dated December 5, 2022. (JSC).
The statement from the President read in part, In exercise of the powers conferred by Article 166 (1) (b) of the Constitution of Kenya, I. William Samoei Ruto, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces, appoint (these judges).
Gichohi Patricia Njeri, Mongare Josephine Wayua Wambua, Nyaundi Patricia Mande, Kavedza Diana Rachel, Chirchir Sophie Chebet and Sifuna Nixon Wanyama are a few of the judges who have been appointed.
Others include Mutai Gregory, Nyaga Heston Mbogo, Mulwa Peter Mutua, Nthiga Lawrence Mugambi, Shariff Mwanaisha Saida, Chigiti John Mugwimi and Wananda John Robert Anuro.
Mohochi Samwel Mukira, Olel Francis Rayola Ochieng Odhiambo, Githiru Freda Mugambi, Magare Dennis Kizito Ng'wono, Macharia Florence Wangari, Odera Teresa Achieng and VisramAleem Alnshir are a few other judges that President Ruto has appointed among the twenty.
