In his meassage, the seasoned trade unionist was grateful to the Kenyans for their selflessness and dedication in serving the country.
Atwoli also thanked the people for keeping the economy afloat, and for showing ‘strength in the face of adversity and uncertain times.
The COTU sec gen also assured Kenyans that he would continue to protect their jobs while continuing with the push fo thre government to come up with favorable policies that would create more employment to Kenyans.
Atwoli has been a prominent figure in the Kenyan politics and matters workers and economy as well.
He recently won the secretary general position for the fifth consecutive time beating the nurses unionist Seth Panyako.
He shared his re-election news on his Twitter account where he thanking trade unions for once more bestowing trust upon him.
“I want to thank all Kenyan workers for re-electing me unopposed through their registered Trade Union Representatives, as the Secretary General of @COTU_K. I promise to service you with all my mighty and strength and not betray the trust you have bestowed in me(sic),” said Francis Atwoli.
The labor Day celebrations were initiated in the 1880’s to commemorate the critical struggle of the working-class individuals globally.
