A man yesterday told a judge of a high court how Jowie Irungu who is accused of killing business woman Monica Kimani burnt evidence using fuel and air freshener,Brian Kasaine who is the prosecution witness told the court that night Jowie called him on odd hours asking for something flammable which he could use to burn something,when he insisted about the main reason he wanted with the fuel he kept on dodging.
Kasaine further told the court that Jowie Irungu told him he had shot himself that night while trying to protect his client who had been attacked by an intruder,he told the court that Irungu said one of his rich clients had stabbed someone whom they had a bitter exchange of words,when he was trying to shield his client from further harm he drew his gun and shot himself.
That very night his ex girlfriend Jackie Maribe kicked him out of her house after she learnt Jowie was in possession of a gun,Kasaine who witnessed the two fighting claimed that he told Jowie Irungu he does not keep such things in his house.
