BREAKING: High Court Issues Ruling On DCI George Kinoti's 4-Month Jail Term

The Director of Criminal Investigations George Kinoti has today, 29 November 2021, received a ruling from the High Court of Kenya on his fate after legal tussle with billionaire and presidential aspirant Jimi Wanjigi.

On 25 November, Justice Antony Mrima had refused to set aside the order requiring Kinoti to surrender himself to the Kamiti Maximu Prison after an application by Attorney General Paul Kihara, instead stating that he would rule on the matter today.

Justice Mrima has yet again dealt a blow to the sleuths' boss after ruling that he can not set aside the 18 November order that ordered Kinoti to be jailed, in essence holding the position that Kinoti should surrender himself to Kamiti.

This is one of the cases in the country that have really brought confusion and 'wait and see' attitudes, with most Kenyans keen to see how far this can go and whether Inspector General of Police George Mutyambai can issue and arrest order against Kinoti as instructed by the court.

Meanwhile, One Kenya Alliance Principal and Wiper Party leader Kalonzo Musyoka urged Jimi Wanjigi to forgive Kinoti and hold mediation talks with him, which Kalonzo is willing to facilitate. This was during a church service at AIC Dayster in Mavoko yesterday.
