Drug abuse has also played a key role in the decadence of morals across the society as per the reports that we have received throughout this period.

This morning, according to reliable reports from Daily Nation Newspaper, a 60 year old woman in an Eldoret Court has begged the Magistrate to jail her son for the rest of her life.

The 33 year old male adult is said to have assaulted the parents on several occasions, prompting them to take him to court.

The man, Nelson Kiptoo Limo, is said to have assaulted the mother and his father on diverse dates.

He was locked up at one time for two years for assaulting the parents but when he was released, he did not change.

Ms Selly Rotich, 60 years old, was caught in tears narrating to the Eldoret Senior Resident Magistrate Christine Menya of how the only child in the family has been subjecting them to torture.

The persistent threats and attacks by the son had forced his father to flee to Mombasa where he has been staying fearing for his life.

Ms Rotich asked the court to jail him so that she can enjoy some semblance of peace before she dies as this son will kill her if set free.
