Judicial Service Commission, JSC presented to President William Ruto a list of 20 judges that it had recommended to the president to nominate to the High Court. Ruto nominated all of them and they were sworn into office. One such judge was Patricia Maende Nyaundi, a senior counsel.

According to a brief analysis of her distinguished service in the judicial system shared by Judiciary photographer Zakheem Rajan, Patricia Mande Nyaundi SC, has had a distinguished career prior to joining the judiciary. She is a former ED of FIDA, CEO of the Kenya Truth Justice and Reconciliation Commission, CEO Kenya National Commission on Human Rights and Nairobi Director of Crisis Action.
Patricia has also served as Rule of Law Advisor at the NCAJ in the office of the Chief Justice. She is an alumnus of University of Nairobi (LLB) and (University of Cape Town, SA (LLM). Congratulations on your swearing-in as a Judge of the High Court of Kenya.
