The late President's grandson Collins Toroitich has been sued for reportedly neglecting and abandoning his two children. The children are said to be of ages 11 and 9 respectively.
Their mother, Ms Gladys Jeruto Tagi, claims that Mr Toroitich has abandoned his responsibilities over his children. In the filed case, Ms Tagi seeks Ksh 1 million per month to cater for basic needs like food, rent, education, entertainment and maintenance.
Represented by her lawyer David Mongeri, Ms Tagi alleges that Mr Toroitich abandoned the children 8 years ago and left her to carry out all the responsibilities. It was also presented to the court that Mr Toroitich was a man of means as he owned chains of businesses in Nairobi.
The mother claims of being unable to cater for the needs of the children alone. The required assistance from the father is much needed to ease the burden off her shoulders. The only problem is that the father has been unresponsive to her request hence the lawsuit.
