Here is what Governor Mutahi Kahiga shared on his Facebook page about a newly formed committee training forum!
"Joined the Nyeri Court Users Committee (CUCs) for their training workshop themed ‘Leveraging on stakeholders synergies for administration of justice’.
"The forum, which is being conducted in collaboration between the Judiciary and Federation of Women Leaders (FIDA) seeks to address gender and mental health issues within the system.
"I wish to laud the continuous collaboration between the County Government of Nyeri and the judiciary and pledge my government’s commitment to supporting these law enforcing entities.
"Through the Department of Gender, Youth and Social Services, the county government will continue addressing and championing against gender issues such as gender based violence and inequalities being faced within the county.
"I call upon the law enforcers to continuously offer psychosocial support to its officers so as to minimize the rising cases of suicides and murders.
