Mixed Reactions To This Banner Of A Kenyan University Attributing Rape To Ladies Dress Code

The world is creating awareness on Gender Based Violence. There are sixteen days of activism which begun on 25th November 2021 are expected to take place until 10th December 2021. The aim of these activism days is to take action to end Gender Based Violence.

Kenyans have been left reacting after The Cooperative University of Kenya published a banner attributing rape to what ladies put on. Doctor Amakove Wala shared the banner on Facebook. She wrote "Can we call out The Cooperative University of Kenya for this ridiculous banner attributing rape to what a woman wears. I am so livid!"

Kenyans have shared their opinions as some blamed the institution for justifying rape by blaming women. They felt that this banner is an embarrassment to ladies.
