"In a statement filed at kondele police station on March 24,2021. Benjamin is accused of killing Mr Oman on March 21,2021. It is therefore established that the officer acted with impunity in gross violation and abuse of human rights," judge said.

The officer was remanded in custody until today. 3 pending a hearing for his bail application.

"Such killing do not portray good image of a police officer in uniform. Therefore I find the officer guilty of brutal murder." The judge added.

The hearing was scheduled for since April 5,2021. He's to be charged today Wednesday.

The latest development comes when police officers have previously faced accusations of impunity over killings.
