A man has been judged for sneaking into Kenyatta National Hospital renal intensive care unit and stealing drugs meant for kidney dialysis of patients who are admitted in the hospital and those undergoing outpatient treatment.The drugs stolen by the suspect are said to amount to Ksh.5250.
The suspect(unnamed for privacy reasons ) was found by the hospital management who reported him to the police after the drugs for the patients went missing .
The suspect is said to load with business people , mainly chemists and supply the drugs from the hospital for a fee.
The man was brought before a judge where the man conferessed to be guilty and is awaiting judges.
The suspect is held at Milimani custody waiting judges on Monday . The expected outcome of this is the withdrawal of his medical licence. Being a misconduct and breach of the oath taken by clinical officers and all other medical officers and misuse of public property.
