Attorney General's Latest Move on BBI That May Be a Big Blow to Opposers

Attorney general Paul Kihara in the previous event

Building bridges initiative was declared null and void by the High Court last week. This raised a lot of issues in political arena. The proponents of the report faulted the ruling terming it as unfair. Allies of deputy president welcomed the ruling warmly and celebrated across the Country.

President Kenyatta and Raila Odinga have initiated the political arrangements on how to save the BBI report. After the ruling, the Attorney general initiated the process of appealing in the Court of Appeal. Mr Kihara has stated that the hearing should be scheduled on 26th May and treated as urgent case. The bench of five judges are set to hear and determine the fate of BBI.

If the Court of Appeal will approve the report then it will mean that Kenyans should prepare for a referendum before 2022. Will this move determine the fate of BBI report? Will it be approved by the ruling or may suffer another blow? Share your opinions.
