Former Nairobi County governor and Mombasa County governor aspirant Mike Mbuvi Sonko has been taken to court by a certain woman who claims that he abandoned all parental responsibilities of their 15 year old daughter Herein, a form 2 student.
The unidentified woman is seeking a monthly allowance of kshs 448500 which is said will be covering expenses such as food, rent, clothing, security, shopping, education, housekeeping, medical coverage among others.
According to the lady, the ex governor has always been defiant to take responsibility and assist her in taking care of her. She claimed to have met Mike Sonko in 1999 and have been on and off relationship and gave birth to their daughter in 2007.
The woman narrated to the court that because of him not taking responsibility of their child, the child has been suffering emotionally and mentally since she does not understand why her father does not love her and been ridiculed in school because of her surname.
