KRA Suffers a Major Blow As High Court Makes a Powerful Ruling

Justice Anthony Mrima made it clear that KRA cannot be the investigator, the complaint at the same time. It's clear the prosecutors are KRA officials yet the complainant is also KRA. The judge made it clear it's unless DPP investigates the case for it lacks merits.

This means KRA lacks the powers to investigate and prosecute for they would have handed such to an independent body like DPP. The judge has termed the Humphrey Kariuki case witch hunt for it's coming from just one institution yet they have all manner of allegations.

Humphrey Kariuki has faced immense trouble with the KRA for years now with the institution accusing him of tax evasions amounting to over 41 billion. However, Humphrey Kariuki has denied such and instead focused on personal issues that can take his businesses to the next level.
