Labour Day: Police Lobby Teargas on Protesters in Nairobi CBD Who Were Protesting Due to This(Video)

President Uhuru Kenyatta on Saturday, May 1st 2021,led the county in celebrating the International Labour Day.

The celebrations were led by President Uhuru Kenyatta alongside the Central Organization of Trade Unions(COTU) Secretary General Francis Atwoli at State House, Nairobi County.

However as the Head of State led the country in marking the Labour Day, members of the public stormed the streets of the city with banners carrying different messages to protest.

In Nairobi's CBD, the police were forced to be upto the task and disperse the angry members of the public by lobbying teargas on the protesters who were protesting against poor working conditions and loss of jobs.

The protesters were also complaining of mismanagement of public funds by the Jubilee government under President Uhuru Kenyatta amid this Coronavirus pandemic.
