Nelson Havi Breaks Silence On High Court Order On Uhuru To Appoint The Six Judges

The Law Society of Kenya President Nelson Havi has responded to the High Court directive on President Uhuru Kenyatta to Appoint the six judges he failed to to appoint way back in June.

The High Court gave Uhuru 14 days to do the appointment, failure to which the Chief Justice Martha Koome may take that mandate to do the appointment. Among ye six judges left include Aggrey Mucheule, George Odunga, Weldon Korir, Evans Makori and Judith Omange.

Havi has stated that the appointment of tge six judges is not a big load left on Uhuru Kenyatta but a big task on Chief Justice Martha Koome to see if he depends on the executive or he will act independently according to the Judiciary

"The judgment on the appointment of the six Judges is not a further indictment of President Uhuru Kenya. It is the biggest test on Chief Justice Martha Koome on whether she is Executive aligned or independent. She can only pass it by swearing-in the six judges on 5-11-2021",Nelson Havi stated.
