An emerging shocking but calm heat directed to BBI proponents this afternoon is the formal withdrawal of application of stay of BBI case.
According to the Star, the letter dated May 28 sent to the deputy registrar, the attorney general shown interest of withdrawing the application due to the fact that he is wishing to switch the case to court of appeal to sought the same matter.
Earlier, the High Court had certified as urgent the application for stay filed by the Attorney General.
The attorney general sought a stay for the five-bench judge verdict that saw BBI being nullified. The judges released a statement of Monday issuing conditions of application for it to be deemed an emergency.
In the letter, the AG noted the day the ruling from the high court will be dued.
"The Court will give a rulling based on the written materials placed before it by email on Wednesday, May 26," the court ruled.
