According to him, he has been denied from seeing him after alleged orders from above but did not disclose from whom the orders had been given.
He has said that it seems that the right to a lawyer of one's choice seems to have been denied to the Turkish businessman tagging the inspector general of police as well as the Cabinet Secretary in charge of the Ministry Interior and Coordination of National Government CS Fred Matiang'i.
"Apparently the right to Counsel of one's choice doesn't apply to Turkish national Mr. Harun Aydin arrested by the Kenyan police. I have been denied access to see him allegedly "on orders from above" @IG_NPS @FredMatiangi"Senior Counsel Ahmednasir Abdullahi.
The Turkish investor Harun Aydin was arrested at the airport when he was entering Kenya from Uganda.
Harun Aydin was detained by immigration officials on landing in Nairobi from Uganda where he had been since August 2.
Officials said they wanted to question him in regard to his immigration status, work permit and the business he is involved in the region.
At the sane time, Kipchumba Murkomen, Elgeyo Marakwet Senator has claimed that the government recognises Harun Aydin as a businessman.
"Ayden Harun is an investor recognized by Govt of Kenya&issued with a valid class G permit. The only reason why he has been arrested is because the authorities are embarrassed after blocking DP from going to Uganda&they want to continue the pettiness they have displayed for 4 yrs"Kipchumba Murkomen https://t.co/Jo6GUE6nfe
